Bringing Vision to Life

Passionate and self-motivated, Scott Gordon Richards is an optioned screenwriter and military veteran who works with producers to bring their visions for film and TV to life. To date, he has written four screenplays for producers around the world and currently works with three more producers around the world in developing their projects.

He writes mainly science-fiction and fantasy, but he also crafts contemporary thrillers and unreal stories of the supernatural. He has completed several of his own projects making fourteen screenplays total. He has also written three novels, numerous poetry, two stage plays, and several short stories.

His feature film script The Immolation was a finalist at the 2021 Oniros Film Awards and REDteam Films Awards. Another of his features, All is Fare was a quarter-finalist at the 2019 Fresh Voices Screenplay Competition. His screenplay, Sacred Tomb is currently in production in India. He won the Editor’s Choice Award for his poem No Longer, published in “An Armory of Language” 2001, and many of his poems have appeared in various publications too numerous to mention. He is a winner of two Journalism Scholarships from Brandon University, Manitoba where he pursued an English Degree.

To better understand the art of writing for the stage and screen, he gained acting positions in Community Theatre and as a background actor for the big screen. His credits include Lee in Storm Warning by Margaret Pople, Sgt. Major Morris in The Monkey’s Paw by W.W. Jacobs and Inspector Hound in The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard. As a background actor, he appeared in Wrong Turn IV, Percy VS Goliath with Christopher Walken, and A Dog’s Journey.

Imagine Embers is Scott’s brainchild and reflects all of what he envisions as a storyteller; Imagination is endless. Imagination takes you anywhere, anywhen. It is freedom to fly, to be someone you wish you could be, or friends with characters you love. Imagination lets you hang out in fantastical places and comforts you when the need arises. Imagine Embers takes the sparks of your imagination and stokes them to forge the story you want to tell in a firebrand of entertainment.
